BEE EDMONTON CO-OP
BEC

Introducing BYOBees - Bring your own Bees

Bee Edmonton Co-op Pilot

For this pilot launch, if you wish to participate, please answer the question, what do you hope to get out of this co-op? Our goal is to provide you with mentorship, and when you are ready, to help you bring your bees home with your intial nuc plus 3 additional deep frames with drawn comb. Alternatively, you can opt to continue your share in the co-op by benefiting from other rewards or opportunities and what that is, we look to you for what that could be.

Please submit interest answering the questions: What would this co-op look like for you? What rewards or opportunities would you look forward to in this co-op if you opt not to bring your bees home?

Our priority is honey bee health as we look to maintaining smaller colonies yielding extremely limited quantities of honey. This plays an integral role in our integrated pest management.

Bee husbandry is an art that requires a constant fine tuning to accommodate changes in the hive and promote honey bee colony health.

Participation will take place at one our unique locations including: Chancery Hall, Magrath Mansion with Concordia University, Fort Edmonton, Alberta Aviation Museum.

Hives and drawn comb on site are ready for your nuc as early as June 1.

* Please note: If you wish to participate and will not be bringing your own bees, cost for participation will be $500 for the season.

Please submit interest by contacting us below.
